The impact of this tendency of "dematerialization" of art is, again, a paradox. On the one hand, theoretical and methodological practices of art history are doubted and put under scrutiny; on the other, artist' theoretical strategies become as important as their works of art, especially when the works are so unconventional and even immaterial.On the one hand, the arts blend increasingly with daily activities and strip off their philosophical pretense; on other, the arts become even more conceptual and philosophical.
